Accreditation, Safety & Privacy | Bali Executive Checkup

Accreditation,
lab standards, safety and your privacy

Yes — executive screening in Bali can be performed at
internationally accredited laboratories and facilities
, and
choosing accredited partners is the single most important decision
behind a trustworthy check-up. This page explains how laboratory
accreditation works, what international standards to look for, how we
vet the facilities we arrange, and how your data and privacy are
protected. For a screening to be worth doing, you have to trust the
result — so we are explicit about the standards that make a result
reliable.

Bali Executive Checkup is a medical concierge. We do
not run a laboratory; we select accredited partners and coordinate your
screening with them. That independence is a feature: our job is to
advocate for quality and privacy on your behalf, not to defend any one
facility.

defined quality standards; it does not guarantee any individual clinical

facility before relying on it.

What laboratory
accreditation actually means

Accreditation is independent, recurring verification that a
laboratory’s people, equipment, and processes meet a defined
international standard — so a result from that lab is accurate,
reproducible, and comparable to one produced anywhere else holding the
same standard. The accreditations most relevant to executive screening
include:

  • ISO 15189 — the international standard specifically
for medical laboratory quality and competence. This is the benchmark to
ask about for bloodwork and pathology.
  • ISO/IEC 17025 — the standard for general testing
and calibration laboratories, relevant to certain diagnostic
    testing.
  • Hospital accreditation — for example, accreditation
by Indonesia’s national hospital accreditation body, and where
applicable international hospital accreditation, which covers clinical
safety and governance beyond the lab.

When we arrange your screening, we confirm the relevant accreditation
of the laboratory and facility in advance. The deeper question of
whether Bali’s labs match international expectations is addressed in our
blog on the topic and in Bali vs
Singapore vs Bangkok
.

Live-page note: list the actual accreditation bodies and
standards held by the specific partner facilities used, with
verification dates. Do not state or imply an accreditation a partner
does not currently hold.

How we vet facilities

For every screening we arrange, we check three things: the
laboratory’s accreditation for the tests being run; the
facility’s clinical governance and safety record; and
the availability of English-speaking physicians to
interpret results. The new health infrastructure on the island — the
Sanur Special Economic Zone and Bali International Hospital, explained
on our Sanur KEK page — was
designed around international standards, which is part of why a premium
executive screening in Bali is now defensible against regional
alternatives.

Accreditation is not a one-time badge; it is a status that is audited
and renewed on a cycle, and it can lapse. That is why we verify it close
to the time of your screening rather than relying on a claim made once
and never rechecked. If a partner’s accreditation status changes, the
arrangement changes — our independence from any single facility is what
makes that possible. We would rather move your screening than compromise
the standard behind your result.

Your data and your privacy

For executive and VIP clients, confidentiality is as important as
accuracy. Our privacy commitments:

  • Consent-based sharing. Your results are shared with
no one — not your employer, not a third party — without your explicit
written consent. Corporate clients receive only anonymised aggregates
unless an individual opts to share their own report; see corporate health
    screening
    .
  • Secure handling. Reports are delivered through
secure channels, and intake data is collected through protected
    forms.
  • Discreet logistics. For high-profile clients, we
minimise exposure with private scheduling and, in our VIP concierge tier, in-villa
    options.
  • Your records, portable. With your authorisation,
results are formatted for your home physician and insurer — relevant to
    our expat clients.

is covered in depth in how private are your

Safety during screening

A thorough screening is low-risk, but not zero-risk, and honesty
matters. Some procedures — such as stress testing or contrast imaging —
carry small, well-defined risks that a physician screens for and
manages. Whole-body imaging can also produce incidental findings that
require further, sometimes unnecessary, follow-up; we discuss this
candidly in full-body
MRI for executives
. Our role is to ensure these decisions are made
with a physician who knows your history, not driven by a desire to
maximise the panel.

Frequently asked questions

Are lab tests in Bali internationally accredited?
They can be. Reputable laboratories used for executive screening hold
international standards such as ISO 15189 for medical laboratories. We
confirm the relevant accreditation of the specific lab before your
screening; always verify current status directly with the facility.

What accreditation should I ask about? For bloodwork
and pathology, ask whether the laboratory holds ISO 15189. For the
facility overall, ask about national and, where applicable,
international hospital accreditation.

Who can see my results? Only you, unless you give
explicit written consent to share. Employers receive only anonymised
aggregates. See confidentiality of health
records
.

Is screening in Bali as reliable as in Singapore?
When performed at accredited facilities, results are produced to the
same international standards. A practical comparison is in Bali vs
Singapore vs Bangkok
.

Are there risks to a full executive screening? Most
components are low-risk. Some tests carry small, managed risks, and
broad imaging can produce incidental findings. A physician tailors the
panel to keep benefit ahead of risk.

How do I confirm the accreditation of my screening?
Ask us, and we will provide the partner facility’s current accreditation
details, or contact the facility directly. Begin via the booking page.
